Song of the flower
I am the lover’s gift; I am the wedding wreath;
I am the memory of a moment of happiness;
I am the last gift of the living to the dead;
I am a part of joy and a part of sorrow.
These quoted words cone from a poem ‘Song of the Flower XXIII” by Khalil Gibran. Poetry rarely guests on the pages of this blog because of the following topics that it moves. But this time I decided to make an exception because works which you’ll see in a moment are really unique.
All were made by Anne Ten Donkelaar. She is a talented artist well-known in her homeland (The Netherlands). The works below bear the common name ‚Flower Contructions’. Donkelaar’s compositions delight by precision performance, riot of colours and creativity. They are light and airy and very poetic. And they certainly would beautifully complements some of the PIXERS decorations.
