We reveal the secrets of beautiful interiors.
PIXERS supports PHPers
Exactly a week ago, on May 5th, we had the opportunity to host in our office the first meeting of PHPers in Wrocław. Although usually we rub shoulders with artists and designers, we also engage in other interesting activities, especially when the initiative comes from our untiring IT team.
PHPers are open meetings of PHP developers and architects which aim to change the perception of PHP being a programming language by promoting good practices related to PHP. Those meetings are held periodically in Warsaw, Gdańsk and Trójmiasto. Now, also in Wrocław. All meetups are free and open to the public and their barcamp-inspired formula helps to establish new contacts and exchange professional experiences.
Although the first PHPers meeting was held just a year ago, each meeting arouses a great interest. It was no different this time – nearly 50 PHP enthusiasts appeared in our office that evening.
PIXERS team was represented by our CTO, Kuba Winnicki, who talked about IT automation, that is, about system configuration management. The other presentations were given by Łukasz Wróbel and Mariusz Gil, the originator of PHPers. Łukasz focused on measuring the performance of web applications and Mariusz talked about techniques for monitoring PHP applications. All presentations were met with rapt attention and many questions, which proves the high demand for expertise in this area. After the presentations, it was time for networking over beer and pizza, which lasted late into the night.
We would love to thank all the participants for coming – it was our pleasure to host you in our office. If you couldn’t take your eyes off of our walls and were hypnotized by Kuba’s presentation, stay with us for a little bit longer! Check out our current openings or email us directly – we love to work with talented people!
See you soon at the next PHPers meeting in Wrocław!
